Hopjacks has held many wonderful beer pairing dinners in the past but it has been over a year since they last held one. So it was a welcome surprise when they announced that they would be holding a German Beer Dinner at their downtown location.
The dinner will take place at the downtown location on Wednesday at 7pm. It will be hosted by Hopjacks owner Joe Abston and guest chef Karin Streckel. The planned four course dinner consist of the following pairings:
- 1st: Bratwurst (Spätzle/Paulaner Hefeweizen)
- 2nd: Beef Rouladen w/ Baked Sauerkraut and Potato Pancake (Hofbrau Original Lager)
- 3rd: Duck Schnitzle w/ Root Vegetables (Ayinger Oktoberfest)
- 4th: Duo of Strudels – Poppyseed & Apple – w/ Currant Sorbet (Spaten Optimator Dopplebock)
